Riding Lessons

We offer lessons for ages 4 to 100, and all riding levels. Lessons are offered year-round Monday to Friday.

Lessons are booked on a weekly schedule and each month is paid prior to the 1st of the month. We also offer one-time riding sessions, payment is due prior to the date of the lesson.

The Horseback Riding Semesters Run As Follows:

Fall

September – November

Winter

December – February

Spring

March - May

 

LESSONS AVAILABLE:

Junior Riding Lessons:

For ages 4-6. A half-hour private lesson with our highly skilled instructor, Tyra. Students help groom and tack up the horse (~10min.), ride (~20min.), and untack (~2min.) at the end of their lesson. Students learn about horsemanship and basics of riding. They will start with steering, stopping, trotting, and proper positioning.

Lessons are $35 per lesson if paid monthly, $30 per lesson if paid by the Semester. There is a $10 holding fee for lessons you will not be attending.

 

Private Riding Lessons: 

For ages 7+. An hour long private lesson with our highly skilled instructor, Tyra. Students help groom and tack up the horse (~15min.), ride (~40min.), and untack(~5min.) at the end of their lesson. Students will advance through the various stages of riding as Tyra sees fit. Each lesson is tailored to the individual student. All levels are welcome, beginner to advanced!

Lessons are $55 per lesson if paid monthly, $50 per lesson if paid by the semester. There is a $10 holding fee for lessons you will not be attending.

 

Advanced Riding Lessons (Bring Your Own Horse): 

For our Advanced Riders looking to take their riding to the next level. Tyra is a rodeo champion and a star instructor. This class is for riders with their own horse. 

 

ALL RIDERS must be dressed appropriately for riding with soft, stretchable pants/jeans, closed toed shoes (boots with a heel are preferred), and weather appropriate shirts and jackets. Riders under the age of 8 must also wear a helmet.

 

Cancellation Policy:
You must contact us 24 hours before your lesson to cancel in order to receive a credit that can be applied for later use. No refunds, just credit memos are issued.

Please call or email during business hours (from 10am-6pm) to reschedule your lesson without being charged. If you cancel within 24 hrs of your lesson, you will be charged the full price of your lesson. We understand that sometimes things come up, but also please understand that considerable time goes into planning lessons and reserving horses for riders. Therefore it is the responsibility of the rider to come to lessons and be on time.
